Responsible for overseeing and controlling all warehouse operations with a strong focus on SAP WM functionality, inventory accuracy, and team supervision within a high-volume glass packaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:
SAP & Inventory Management

• Capture all stock movements in SAP (receiving, dispatching, transfers) with accuracy.
• Manage SAP bin allocations and real-time stock transitions.
• Perform daily perpetual stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Provide SAP Data Capturer relief when required.
• Generate and verify SAP delivery notes and related documentation.
• Maintain 100% alignment between physical stock and SAP records.

Warehouse Operations

• Supervise daily receiving of palletized glassware.
• Liaise with the Value-Add Department regarding stock movements.
• Manage inventory and ordering of packaging materials.
• Oversee cullet disposal and waste management.
• Enforce FIFO/FEFO for all stock handling.
• Complete daily scoring verification for resorted glassware.

Team Leadership & Safety

• Lead warehouse team to achieve productivity targets.
• Manage attendance, overtime, and leave schedules.
• Ensure forklift operators conduct daily inspections and follow safety procedures.
• Facilitate weekly toolbox talks and ongoing job observations.
• Investigate and report incidents within 24 hours.
• Enforce PPE and health & safety compliance throughout the warehouse.

Equipment & Housekeeping

• Monitor and maintain scrubber, sweeper machines, and forklift fleet.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs with technicians.
• Ensure fire equipment accessibility and compliance.
• Maintain 5S standards across all warehouse areas.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years warehouse/inventory management experience.
• Minimum 3 years SAP WM experience (non-negotiable).
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Manufacturing/packaging/glass industry experience beneficial.

SAP Competencies

• Proficient in SAP WM transactions (MIGO, MB1A, LT01, MB52, etc.).
• Skilled in SAP bin management and stock transfers.
• Able to generate SAP reports and conduct stock reconciliations.
• Knowledge of goods receipt and goods issue processes.

Technical Skills

• Valid forklift license.
• Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong numeracy and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of warehouse systems and inventory best practices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) Essential.
• Certificate/Diploma in Warehouse Management or Supply Chain Advantageous.
• First Aid certification Advantageous.
• FSSC 22000 or quality management training Advantageous.
