We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the mining industry in Kriel, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate must have expertise in Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) projects within the mining sector.Responsibilities:- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for EC&I projects in the mining industry.- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost-effective solutions.- Monitor project costs and budget throughout the project lifecycle.- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and contracts.- Review and approve invoices and payment applications.- Provide advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project budgets are maintained.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the mining industry.- Strong understanding of EC&I systems and projects.- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and negotiation skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
