We are looking for an experienced Development Engineer for a Renowned Automotive Manufacturing Firm in Port Elizabeth.

• B-TECH OR SIMILAR DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
• PROFICIENT IN SOLIDWORKS OR SIMILAR CAD PACKAGE
• PROFICIENT IN MICROSOFT WORD/EXCEL AND OUTLOOK
• KNOWLEDGE OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES AND THEIR CONSTRUCTION
• ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WELL ON A TECHNICAL BASIS

• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN SYSPRO SOFTWARE
• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH BOM’S (BILL OF MATERIALS)
• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH COMPOSITE COMPONENTS
• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH STEEL AND SHEETMETAL FABRICATION
• PREVIOUS MACHINING EXPERIENCE
• BASIC WORKSHOP HANDSKILLS

• MECHANICAL AND AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENT DESIGN
• DESIGN OF JIGS AND FIXTURES
• COMPILATION OF:
• ENGINEERING DRAWINGS
• BOM’S (BILL OF MATERIALS)
• ENGINEERING PROCESS SHEETS AND INSTRUCTIONS
• IMPLEMENTATION OF ENGINEERING CHANGE REQUESTS
