We’re a big retail ad agency looking for a MW Digital &TTL Copywriter, with a strong digital copywriting background. The successful candidate will join a small, experienced team on a medium-sized supermarket retail account.

The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with the ability to conceptualise and roll out digital campaigns and touch points. Working under the direction of the Creative Group Head, the candidate will collaborate with designers and art directors and possess the ability to multitask in a face-paced environment without losing his/her sense of humour.

The position is at 99c's Head Office in Foreshore, Cape Town, with a 3-day at the office policy.

Minimum relevant experience required:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• 3+ years’ experience at an ad agency or in-house marketing department or related field
• A portfolio that reflects creative copywriting proficiencies (both short and longer copy)
• Solid knowledge/understanding of digital platforms in conjunction with more traditional channels essential
  • The ability to take the lead on projects and put together engaging presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

• A basic understanding of SEO and metadata keywording
• Easy-going personality and the ability to work in a team
• The ability to accept and apply creative guidance and feedback
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and manage his/her time in order to meet deadlines
