This is a contract position to teach in the field of Afrikaans Home Language and Education to Intermediate Phase students on the Wellington Campus

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • A relevant Masters degree in Afrikaans (Language and Literature) and/or Education (History of Education)
  • Afrikaans as a major subject at the undergraduate level
  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • At least two (2) years of relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or two (2) years relevant experience in IP phase at school level.
  • Specialised knowledge of methodologies of teaching Afrikaans

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • A relevant Doctoral degree in Afrikaans and Education
  • Experience in research and postgraduate supervision
