• Research and identify engaging stories related to FlySafairs operations, customer service, maintenance plans, pilot experiences, and employee stories;
• Plan, script, and storyboard video content that aligns with FlySafairs brand and messaging;
• Shoot and edit high-quality videos suitable for YouTube and other digital platforms;
• Ensure each video is produced on time and meets the weekly content schedule;
• Develop narratives that highlight FlySafairs commitment to customers, the dedication of our staff, and the inner workings of the airline industry;
• Focus on creating authentic, engaging stories that resonate with our audience;
• Operate video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment;
• Use video editing software to produce polished, professional-quality videos;
• Ensure videos are optimized for various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram);
• Upload and manage video content on various platforms;
• Ensure the final videos are engaging, visually appealing, and meet the overall objective/s;
• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure video content aligns with overall marketing strategies and goals;
• Collaborate with other departments to identify potential stories and coordinate shoots;
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and content is delivered on schedule;
• Maintain an organized archive of video footage and assets for future use;
• Monitor video performance and audience engagement, making data-driven decisions to improve future content;
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video production and digital storytelling.

• Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Bachelors degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field (Essential);
• 3 years of experience in video production, including shooting and editing;
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed for shoots;
• Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.);
• Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and sound equipment;
• Understanding of video formats, codecs and compression techniques;
• Understanding of social media platforms;
• Knowledge of SEO and social media analytics tools.
