Key responsibilities include the following: • Be accountable for overseeing financial processes, procedures, and controls in an efficient, effective, and professional manner in compliance with University policies and procedures. • Be accountable to ensure that the recording of all revenue and costs against the correct accounts is affected. • Be accountable for finalising reconciliations for all financial accounts. • Prepare the required financial information for the Business Manager and Director of Sport to ensure efficient financial management. • Provide monthly management accounts that will facilitate the efficient management of the department. • Responsible for providing financial training for financial staff and Wits Sport Administrators, where applicable. Requirements • BComm: Accounting qualification • 5 years relevant experience at a university management level coupled with people management experience.
