An established company in Stikland, Cape Town is looking for a Quadbike / ATV Operator with experienced in the agriculture industry.

ATV Operator will work with the Spray team and will be responsible for operating a Quadbike in public while applying weed control.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Work with Supervisors to determine quality controls.
• Environmental chemical hazard awareness.
• Help in maintaining spray tractors, implements, chemical storage areas, as well as chemical inventories.
• Continuing education to increase chemical knowledge level and legislature updates.
• Knowledge of weed control principles
• Knowledge of spray and weed control operations
• Ability to maintain and repair applicator/spray equipment and parts such as nozzles, pumps, meters, connections, tanks, and seals
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of agriculture chemicals.
• Ability to work with many personalities.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Physical Fitness: Quadbike / ATV operators must be sober and physically fit to handle the demands of operating the vehicle.
• Good Eyesight: Good eyesight, with or without corrective lenses, is required to operate a quadbike safely.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude may be required to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills are necessary to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and management. Individual must be able to communicate well in English and write legibly.
• Adaptability: Quadbike / ATV operators must be able to adapt to changing weather conditions, terrain, and other environmental factors and be able to use a knapsack and do biomass removal.
• Compliance with Company Policies: Familiarity with and adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Grade 12
• Must have a PCO permit in weed control

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: R8 000,00 - R8 300,00 per month
