RCL FOODS is seeking a skilled NAM Assistant to join our Customer Team in Westville. The role will be reporting to the New Business Development Executive Customer and Operations.
RCL FOODS is looking for a decisive, efficient and innovative individual with an FMCG background in Account Management support. The purpose of the role is to support the National Account Manager, National Sales Manager, National Operations Manager in the smooth running of a portfolio of accounts and our front-end sales agent network. To proactively manage all administrative tasks in a timely and anticipatory manner. To ensure that both internal and external customer needs are fully met. To control all aspects of Sales agent day-to-day admin support: Support, Trackers, Fieldko, month review of scorecard criteria. Monthly commissions recon.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesNational Account Support:
- Assist in developing an ongoing relationship with the national account representatives and their respective front-end sales agents.
- Understand and communicate financial implications for all product changes.
- Undertake competitive market research on a regular basis; CRM data insight dashboard creation.
- Participate in sales volumes forecasting and assisting with daily tracking.
- Assist the National Account Manager with development of the strategy and account plans.
- Execute the strategy through implementation of volume plans and customer workshops.
- Follow up product listings with selected customers so that initiatives can be implemented.
- Build strong and progressive relationships through all levels with selected customers.
- Turn insight into innovation through input in new business/product development and translation of latest trends and customers needs.
- Activate growth plans within the customers organisation.
- Track/measure the success of growth initiatives (launches/ promotions/activations).
- Monitor and report on sales performance by customer.
- Attend corporate meetings with the NAM.
- Develop and maintain relationships with operations and planning staff.
- Manage price files and address related queries.
- Ensure the processing and dispatch of orders are correct and on time.
- Interact with customers by phone, email, and in person.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with customer support personnel on a weekly basis as directed by the National Account Manager.
- Conduct regular analysis of customer product assortments.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations to facilitate new product placement and promotional activities.
- Set up planograms and product displays as needed.
- Assist in the development and completion of professional sales collateral to include, but not limited to, PowerPoint, Excel, Graphs and Charts.
National Operations Support:
- Assist the National Account Manager; National Sales Manager; National Operations manager with the day-to-day administrative support of the front-end sales team: Internal sales team & External sales agents.
- You will be required to assist in the cycle briefing process by collating and creating reviews based on data insights from the CRM platform and track again the sales teams scorecard targets.
- Provide the sales teams all relevant pricing, promotional material, POS.
- Monthly update of the budget trackers: Signage and free stock.
- Collate OTM changes and submit for uploading monthly.
- Ensure Front-end sales teams call cycles are uploaded monthly: Pull monthly collage compliance dashboards providing summary of performance.
- Ensure correct CRM surveys have been allocated to the correct sales teams.

Matric.
Marketing and sales degree or diploma favorable.
Valid Code EB drivers license.
3 years account management or administration experience.
Systems knowledge and experience: PowerPoint, Excel, Graphs and Charts, Fieldko.
Knowledge:
Sales and relationship management principles.
Rainbow products.
The wholesale market.
Research methodologies.
Marketing principles and practices.
