Primary Responsibilities (KPAs): Planning & Organizing: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure optimal machine utilization. Oversee the entire production process, ensuring adherence to time and quality standards. Quality Control & Standards: Establish and ensure compliance with quality control standards. Assess project and resource requirements to meet production goals. Customer & Internal Communication: Liaise with buyers and sales staff to align production schedules with customer requirements. Negotiate time scales with internal clients and managers, adjusting schedules as necessary. Maintenance & Equipment: Oversee the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. Ensure that machine tools and CNC machines are properly maintained and serviced. Staff Management & Development: Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior staff, apprentices, and interns. Ensure that employees are trained in 5S principles and keep Fleximatrix updated. Manage staff performance and foster a culture of growth within the team. Cost & Budget Management: Control budgets related to tooling and machine maintenance. Ensure adherence to production and scrap rate targets. Contribute to monthly sales targets by effectively managing production schedules. Surface Treatment Plant Management: Responsible for overseeing the operation and management of the surface treatment plant. Accountabilities: Meet production budgets and KPI targets while managing scrap rates. Ensure the performance and growth of all staff members. Maintain processes according to Quality Management Systems. Take responsibility for the maintenance of machining centres. Serve as the Process Owner for Original Equipment Manufacturing (LP2), Global Operations Resource Management (SP3), and Company Production Services (LP8). Be the secondary Process Owner for Rail Services (LP3). Be empowered to stop processes if they pose risks to the company, employees, or product. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all company and legal HSE aspects are adhered to at all times.
• Report on instances of non-adherence or unsafe conditions within the production area.

Matric / Relevant trade / Operations Management / Industrial Engineering 10 years plus production management experience and relevant qualifications Technical product knowledge Customer relationship and leadership skills Relevant trade - Turning & Milling is highly advantageous QMS Experience (Rex / IRIS / ISO) CNC programming knowledge a must (Siemens / Fanuc Controls / Akuma) SAP - Production Planning modules Industrial Engineering Good understanding, reading, and interpreting of drawings Between 7 - 10 Years
