The Amy Foundation is looking for an energetic, passionate and creative Communications & Events Coordinator, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO)to drive brand awareness, public relations, marketing and event management. This role ensures that the Amy Foundation maintains a strong public profile, grows its income and engages effectively with stakeholders, donors, and the community..

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications, marketing, events and PR strategy.
• Manage marketing efforts, including social media, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
• Oversee the design and production of promotional materials and branding assets.
• Plan, organise, and execute fundraising and awareness events, such as gala dinners, marathons, Golf Days, and networking receptions.
• Work closely with media to secure positive coverage and raise the Foundations profile.
• Manage relationships with external PR agencies, sponsors, and event vendors.
• Oversee internal and external communication efforts to ensure consistent messaging.
• Develop and maintain a strong online and offline presence for the organisation.
• Focus on marketing our various products and income streams like hotel and restaurant income, Amys wine, Amys rose, My school my village card, Amys cultural township tours, our shop products etc.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric Certificate (Essential).
• Bachelors degree in PR, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in communications, PR, marketing, or event management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva and WordPress
• Experienced in leveraging social media platforms for brand awareness and engagement with a strong understanding of social media trends, content creation, and audience engagement
• Strong media relations experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
