Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermediate IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolve issues related to software, hardware, and network systems, and assist in maintaining the companys IT infrastructure. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system maintenance, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users through various channels (phone, email, in-person).
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues.
• Set up and configure new devices (computers, printers, mobile devices, etc.).
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications and systems.
• Support the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the smooth functioning of systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting network connectivity issues, including VPN and Wi-Fi problems.
• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and technical processes for future reference.
• Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up IT equipment and providing training on basic IT systems.
• Assist senior IT staff with project-based work and ongoing system improvements.
• Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles (2-4 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise-level IT tools.
• Understanding of network protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with system imaging, software deployment, and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.) and remote support tools.
• Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused IT environment.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend shifts based on business needs.
• Ability to work remotely or on-site as needed.
• On-call support may be required.
