Job ID R200001108 Closing date 04/04/2025 Last Updated 31/03/2025 Regional Transactional Services Lead: Africa Department: Finance Function: Copper Africa Team: Transactional Services Melrose, Johannesburg, South Africa Support the Cu operations and functions by managing teams across the Purchase to Pay process as a key centralized, enabling function across Glencore Copper Africa. The core responsibilities will include managing Vendor Master Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Cash Management and Reporting professionals to ensure that:

There are well-governed and efficient processes followed in the P2P cycle and Vendor Master-Data function Suppliers are pre-qualified against a standard set of requirements (KYC/TPDD/Supplier Due Diligence/Responsible Sourcing) before engagement in tender processes and/or admission to the vendor master data Accurate and prompt processing of purchase orders The on-time processing and payment of supplier invoices, which is enabled by prompt resolution of invoice mismatches Engagement with relevant stakeholders (CFOs, Commercial/Supply Chain Leads, Internal/External Auditors, Treasury, Financial Institutions, End-users and Suppliers) across the P2P and Vendor Master-Data processes to ensure that process issues are resolved, and controls are well-adhered to and continuously improved Generation of monthly performance reports to key stakeholders Teams are optimally led and managed to deliver highest quality of transactional services as per agreed-upon KPIs with key stakeholders An effective performance management system is in place to promote workplace efficiency and effectiveness amongst team members.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

A post-graduate qualification in Commercial/Finance will be advantageous Minimum 3-year Degree/Diploma in Accounting/Business Science/Commercial/Finance

Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, leading teams within the Purchase to Pay function Leadership and Management of large teams in a service provision function Experience in the governance, risk and compliance within the Purchase to Pay function Experience within a Metals and Mining environment would be beneficial MS Office applications SAP/Coupa system experience Reporting skills Excellent communication - spoken and written Reconciliation tools Other efficiency tools as required to enhance processes

Competencies:

Understanding of financial accounting, vendor master data management, purchasing, accounts payable and cash management processes in Procurement and ERP systems such as SAP/Coupa, including the governance, risk and control environment required to support these processes. Understanding how the different processes impact each other in the Purchase to Pay Cycle and re-align processes amongst teams to achieve best fit-for-purpose practice in line with a robust control environment. Understand interdependencies between Transactional Services and other functions such as Commercial/Supply Chain, operations end-users, warehousing, etc. and ensure that there is a well-known operating rhythm between all functions to ensure that Vendor Master Data Management, Procurement, Accounts Payable and Cash Management deliver the most efficient results according to agree-upon KPIS.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Managing teams to provide Transactional services to Copper Africa operations, corporate offices and functions. Problem-solving for process, system and other technical issues that arise across the Vendor Master-Data Management and Purchase to Pay Function. Leads in formulating resolution to correct root causes of process deficiencies. Leads in communicating the resolution to the relevant responsible team or function or user to correct root causes. Ensures that the End-to-End Purchase to Pay process and Vendor Master-Data Management is supported by:

o Well-governed processes o Manual and system processes are streamlined and complementary to each other o Processes are efficient and reviewed regularly to meet fit-for-purpose operating practices o Adequate Change Management precedes any changes to process and that all impacted parties are aware, are communicated with and have input into the change

Manages teams according to agreed-upon deliverables and KPIs. All KPIs form part of a formal performance management system.
