The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior BI Consultant with strong Power BI expertise to join our growing team of data professionals in the Cape. Youll be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions that provide actionable insights and drive value for our clients. This role includes working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, build data models, design reports and dashboards, and provide expert-level consulting to improve data literacy and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards and data models

• Work directly with clients to understand business goals and translate them into technical BI solutions

• Perform data analysis, cleansing, transformation, and visualization

• Guide and mentor junior consultants and support BI enablement within client environments

• Engage in pre-sales and solution architecture discussions where required

• Drive the Keyrus brand by delivering high-quality consulting services and fostering long-term client relationships

Educational Background

• Matric

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science or equivalent preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience in a BI consulting role

• Strong, demonstrable experience with Power BI (end-to-end solution delivery)

• Experience with SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M language)

• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data access, and ETL processes

• Exposure to other BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, or Alteryx is advantageous

• Familiarity with cloud data sources (e.g., Azure SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse) a plus

• Experience in financial services (e.g., ABSA, FNB, Standard Bank) is beneficial

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong ability to interact with client stakeholders and understand business context

• Highly analytical and detail-oriented

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across various projects

• Strong presentation and documentation skills

• Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset

• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks is a plus
