Automotive Workshop Manager

Are you a driven leader with a passion for the automotive industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment? Were looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to take the wheel at our brand-new VAG Spec Centre branch in KwaZulu-Natal.

As a key player in our team, youll oversee daily operations, lead a dynamic team of workshop and front-end staff, and ensure top-tier service standards are not only met—but exceeded.

What Youll Be Responsible For:

• Overseeing all workshop operations and front-of-house activities.
• Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of technicians and service advisors.
• Ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Driving productivity and profitability by achieving and exceeding workshop targets.
• Managing job card flow, quality control, parts ordering, and workflow.
• Conducting regular team check-ins and performance reviews.
• Reporting directly to upper management on workshop performance and needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
• Valid South African drivers license (essential)
• Minimum 5 years experience in the motor industry
• Previous experience in a Workshop Manager or similar leadership role in an automotive environment
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate a team effectively
• Sound knowledge of mechanical and diagnostic processes
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
