Chief Inspector

Quality Control

• Inspect castings to ensure compliance with ME Elecmetal Prima and customer standards.
• Verify correct drawings and revisions are used during inspections and production.
• Maintain accurate calibration records for all measuring instruments.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports, certificates, and data packs for customer submissions.
• Conduct trial inspections and expeditions to identify potential issues before full-scale production or delivery.
• Manage supplier validation and incoming inspections, including scrap and alloy verification.
• Oversee and perform NDT methods, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) for surface and subsurface discontinuities, Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for internal flaw detection, and Penetrant Testing (PT) for surface-breaking defects.

Supervision & Coordination

• Plan daily and weekly QC team activities to meet operational requirements.
• Train and supervise subordinates to maintain high inspection and reporting standards.
• Organize and assist with third-party inspections as needed.
• Maintain discipline and address performance issues within the department.

3D Scanning & Documentation

• Perform 3D scanning and processing of required parts.
• Control gauges, including shop floor markup, visual aids, and training on gauge usage.
• Compile and maintain quality records, ensuring documentation is up to date and accessible
