CNC Machine Operator

  • Set up and operate CNC Router Machine Table Router to cut, shape, and machine materials according to design specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files for accurate production.
  • Adjust machine settings, including speed, feed rates, and cutting depths, for optimal performance.
  • Load and secure materials onto the machine table, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure adherence to specifications and detect malfunctions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment in top working condition.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Document production logs, machine performance, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience operating CNC router machines in a manufacturing or woodworking environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CNC programming codes (G-code, M-code).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or VCarve) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of various materials (wood, plastic, aluminum, composites) and proper cutting techniques.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
  • Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry.
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing or workshop setting with exposure to noise, dust, and machine operations.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Fast-paced production environment requiring teamwork and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R6 000,00 - R8 000,00 per month
