Job Purpose:
The Regional Accounts Manager is responsible for managing key customer accounts and driving regional sales performance. This role involves maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important clients, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving revenue targets across a specific geographic area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the assigned region.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Act as the main point of contact for regional clients, addressing concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
- Build long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Analyze regional market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to tailor offers and promotions to regional needs.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company guidelines and profitability targets.
- Provide regular reports on account performance, forecasts, and regional sales activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance, operations) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Lead regional sales initiatives and participate in national account strategies.
- Conduct regular field visits to clients, ensuring presence and proactive account engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the retail, FMCG, or commercial sectors.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in managing large, multi-site or regional accounts.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities.
- Analytical thinking and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
