Job Description

LiquidCapital Division is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Data Analyst. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Actuarial Team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager: Actuarial.

Position Overview

The data analyst position is accountable for maintaining and implementing data analytics solutions. The data analyst will be involved in all steps within the data analytics development cycle to deliver high quality automated analytics solutions to the business.

You will leverage your quantitative modelling and data analysis skills to support pricing strategies, risk management and product portfolio performance.

Specific Role Responsibilities
  • Claims experience statistical analysis
  • Assist in reviewing the pricing of the value-added products
  • Provide senior leadership with Management Information System reports
  • Assist with data requests and preparing ad hoc reports
  • Analyse fund performance results
  • Assist with funds budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintaining model documentations
  • Continuously review the SQL Models and processes and keep them up to date
  • Automation of the financial reporting processes
Qualifications and Experience
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • BSc (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) or any equivalent quantitative degree
  • 3 - 5 years data analytics experience
  • Advanced excel
  • Intermediate SQL experience or Exposure to statistical programming languages (R and/or Python)
  • Data analytics certifications will be advantageous
  • Must have Motor / Financial Services/ Insurance industry experience
