Data Migration Lead
We are recruiting for an ERP Project Data Migration Lead role.
Required experience and qualifications:- 10 Years or more experience in Data Management
- A relevant 3-year degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7)
- Proof of successful implementation of minimum 4 ERP projects.
- Develop the overall data migration strategy, approach, and timelines aligned with project goals.
- Define mapping between legacy and target ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Oversee data extraction from legacy systems, cleaning, standardizing, and validating data to ensure quality.
- Design and manage Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for data migration.
- Work closely with business analysts, functional leads, and IT teams to understand data requirements and dependencies.
- Conduct data migration testing, including reconciliation, validation, and defect resolution, to ensure completeness and correctness.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on data migration progress, risks, and issues.
- Develop and execute data migration cutover plans to ensure smooth transition from legacy to ERP system with minimal downtime.
- Identify and troubleshoot data migration issues, working with technical teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data migration processes, decisions, and validation reports for audit and compliance purposes.
