Where will the successful candidate fit in?

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the access, upkeep and maintenance within the DC. This role also manages a team of Field Installation Technicians who handle installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer premises and field locations.

Job Requirements

DC Infrastructure:

• Facilitate Data centre access
• Facilitate access nodes maintenance
• Facilitate data centre maintenance
• Vendor management

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor a team of Field Installation Technicians.
• Schedule, allocate, and oversee installation, maintenance, and service tasks.
• Provide training, performance reviews, and technical guidance to team members.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during all field activities.

Operational Efficiency:

• Collaborate with network engineers and project managers for infrastructure readiness.
• Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and coordinate resolution.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and consumables for both DC and field operations.
• Document all installations, changes, and incidents using relevant systems.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, Data Centre Certified Associate) advantageous.
• 4+ years in data centre infrastructure or field technical support.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience with structured cabling, power systems, and field installations.
