Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with experience in the glass and aluminum industry, specifically in the design and drafting of windows, doors, and facades. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality designs for both commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting & Design:
• Create accurate and detailed technical drawings for aluminum, glass windows, doors, and facade systems based on project specifications and requirements. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and building codes.
• Collaboration & Coordination:

Work closely with project engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure the designs align with overall project goals and timelines. Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support.

• Material Specifications & Sourcing:

Collaborate with the procurement team to select materials and products that meet design specifications. Ensure that all materials are suitable for the intended use in terms of durability, aesthetic appeal, and regulatory compliance.Use CAD and other 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) to create visual representations of windows, doors, and facades to help visualize the final product before construction.Ensure all designs adhere to quality standards, including safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Perform checks on drawings to verify accuracy and completeness before submission for manufacturing or construction.Prepare detailed technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), installation guides, and shop drawings. Ensure all documentation is well-organized and readily accessible for the project team.Address and resolve design-related challenges, including material limitations, manufacturing constraints, or installation issues.Assist in managing the project timeline, ensuring that designs are completed on schedule and any revisions are promptly executed to meet deadlines.Qualifications:

• Education:
• A Diploma or Degree in Architectural Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Specialized training or certification in the glass and aluminum industry is a plus.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Draftsman in the glass and aluminum industry, specifically with windows, doors, and facades.
• A minimum of [X] years of experience in CAD drafting or related fields.
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, or similar).
• Strong understanding of materials used in the glass and aluminum industries (e.g., aluminum profiles, glass types, sealants).
• Familiarity with facade design, including curtain wall systems, storefronts, and glazing systems.
