Job Title: Draughtsperson (Property Development)

Department: Design & Planning of Property developmentReports To: Property Portfolio Manager / Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draughtsperson to join our property development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and high-quality architectural and construction drawings to support a variety of development projects in mixed-use buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, site layouts, and technical documentation using CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce and refine design drawings from concept through to construction.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and company standards.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback and design changes.
  • Maintain drawing registers and proper document control procedures.
  • Support planning applications and building permit submissions with accurate documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to take measurements, verify details, or resolve on-site drawing issues.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers as needed during the design and construction phases.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or related field.
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience working in property development or construction industry is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of local planning and building codes.
  • Experience with 3D modelling and visualization tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R10 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month
