Drill Mechanic General x5 Global Grade 08

Key Output

• Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, and assemble components to OEM standard.

• Compile accurate component analysis and reports

• Maintain professional image when representing BWE

• Warranty, REMAN returns

• Compile component condition / failure reports Safety Orientated

• Repair and Maintain CAT Drills

• Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports including Machine Inspection Reports (MIRs) and Technical Analysis Reports (TAs)

• Maintain professional image when representing BWE ,

• Ensure safe work practice

• Control Contamination,

• Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)

• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Matric or equivalent

• Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3

• Component specific technical knowledge and skills

• Sound interpersonal and communication skills

• Basic technical report writing,

• Basic business and financial understanding

• Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge

• Opencast experience - minimum 5 years

• Applicable product knowledge

• Drivers licence - Code C1

• Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures

• Experience on CAT drills will be an added advantage.
