Position Overview:

Our client is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Supervisor to take on the responsibilities for all electrical maintenance & installations on their Farm.

The purpose of the job is the implementation and maintenance of the sites electrical infrastructure, which include, but are not limited to; blowers, generators, pumps, switched sockets, lights, electric fencing, alternative power supplies (PV modules) etc.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Installation of electrical boxes, DB Boards, other enclosures, conduits (pipes, tubing, trunking), ground leads and connecting of power to different equipment/machinery.
• Wiring of circuit breakers, low voltage transformers and electrical equipment.
• Performing maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements on electrical equipment.
• Perform fault finding.
• Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule.
• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Performing ad-hoc duties.
• Commercial and industrial electrical installation and maintenance (three-phase and single-phase).
• Must adhere to the relevant electrical codes, procedures & safety policies.

Requirements:

• Industrial Electrical experience critical.
• Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent Certification (NOF Level 4).
• Trade Tested Red Seal - both single- and three-phase.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience as an installation electrician (3 phase).
• No criminal record. Valid unendorsed drivers license.
• Wiremans license is compulsory.
• Certificate of compliance registered/ or complaint.
• Positive energy and mindset.
• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans.
• Computer literate in MS Office.
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Full understanding of SANS 10142-1 (Wiring of Premises).
• Disciplined
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Good communication skills.
• On-site team management skills.
• Coping with pressures and setbacks.
• Able to meet deadlines of high-pressure projects.
• Traceable, working knowledge and experience in the renewable energy field (Inverters, Solar, etc.).
• Adhering to the companys principles and values.
• This position will require overtime work from time to time.
• Service excellence is key responsibility.
• Reading and understanding electrical drawings.
