Eduvos is looking to employ a Email Marketing Specialist on a permanent basis at any of our National campuses.

Purpose of the role:
The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing email marketing campaigns aimed at engaging both prospective and current students. The focus is on creating and optimizing email customer journeys and touchpoints to maximize conversions and sales, ultimately supporting enrollment and retention goals within the private higher education sector. This is a highly technical role who is an expert at Microsoft Dynamics and Marketing automation tools.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum qualifications required:
- Bachelors degree degree in Marketing, Data Science, IT or a related field. Certification in Microsoft Power Platforms, Marketing and Sales Portal is advantageous
Minimum experience required:
- Minimus of 4 years experience in email marketing, preferably within the education sector.
- 6+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably within the education sector.
- Owner of all customer journeys for entire business; creating a single view of the customer throughout customer Lifecyle.
- Design and execute data-driven email campaigns, using Microsoft Dynamics Marketing portal, from customer inception through to graduation.
- Segment customers based on where they are in customer lifecycle; deep understanding of customer communication strategy and effective use of MS Dynamics to ensure 40% open rate of all email communications.
- Upskill and lead Internal Communications Specialist on customer journey segmentation to ensure company has a single view of all stakeholder communications
- Map out and create customer journeys for both prospective and current students, guiding them through the enrollment process and ongoing educational experience.
- Identify key touchpoints and develop content for each stage of the journey, from initial inquiry to graduation and beyond.
- Utilize marketing automation tools to set up and optimize workflows that nurture leads, support student success, and drive conversions.
- Collaborate with the communications team to deliver compelling and engaging email content, including copy, graphics, and multimedia elements.
- Ensure all email content aligns with the institutions brand voice, messaging guidelines, and academic standards.
- Test and refine subject lines, CTAs, and email formats to improve open rates, click-through rates, and overall engagement.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of email campaigns, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Generate and present regular reports to the marketing team and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Ensure all email campaigns comply with relevant regulations and best practices, including CAN-SPAM, POPIA and other data privacy laws.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in email marketing.
- Leverage MS Dynamics to support Communications Manager and Communications Specialists in delivering their communication strategies.
- Responsible for all customer journeys for end-to-end customer lifecycle, therefore must provide reporting and analytics to OpsCo and Exec Co on performance and optimization.
Functional competencies:
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of marketing automation and CRM systems.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email template customization is a plus.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with tight delivery deadlines
- Experience in succesful client relations
- A discerning eye for branding aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail
