End User Device Lead

Summary of Role Anthesis is maturing rapidly and needs a resourceful, independent person to join an emerging IT Operations function within a growing enterprise IT team. This role will involve working closely with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Cyber Security Lead, Service Integration and Management Lead, and IT Service Desk Lead to improve the way Anthesis manages and uses end-user devices. This role will be accountable for the lifecycle and management of end user devices, including Windows and macOS computers, tablets, and mobile phones, and will report to the Infrastructure & Operations Lead. Key Responsibilities This role will lead and work across a wide variety of projects and initiatives, all supporting these goals:

• Improve the deployment of new and reissued devices to employees receiving new equipment, with a particular focus on the UX of new hire employees
• Manage the deployment and patching of applications in Anthesis application catalogue to end user devices
• Ensure the consistency of management of devices across different categories of users at Anthesis
• Ensure 100% compliance with our baselines, standardising Mac and Windows experiences where appropriate
• Ensure that new acquisitions are migrated into Anthesis estate quickly, whilst minimising disruption

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential:

• Experience managing macOS devices using JAMF (or similar)
• Experience managing Windows devices using Intune (or similar)
• Experience managing application management, deployment, and patching
• Experience with Apple Business Manager and Microsoft Autopilot
• Experience working in a distributed organisation with a multinational estate
• English language

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Quickly identifies and resolves complex endpoint issues.
• Process Optimization: Develops and improves device provisioning, patching, and security workflows.
• Risk Management: Anticipates and mitigates risks related to device security, compliance, and performance.

• Detail-Oriented: Ensures consistency and accuracy in device configurations and security policies.
• User-Focused: Balances security and management controls with a positive end-user experience.
• Proactive Approach: Stays ahead of emerging threats, compliance needs, and technology advancements.

Professional Traits:

• Strategic Thinking: Aligns device management with company objectives, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaboration: Works closely with security, service desk, and procurement teams.
• Effective Communication: Translates technical policies into clear guidance for IT teams and end users.

Desirable:

• ITIL (preferably 4) experience
• Spanish language
