FIbre Specialist

Job Summary:

The Fibre Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of fibre optic installations and maintenance within the telecommunications network. This role involves overseeing the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre optic systems to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Fibre Specialist will work closely with the SHEQ Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Installation and Maintenance:

• Oversee the installation and maintenance of fibre optic cables and systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Ensure fibre standards are maintained and managed

• Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the quality and performance of fibre optic installations.
• Identify and rectify any issues or defects.

• Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all installations, tests, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare detailed reports for the SHEQ Manager.
• Compile fibre specifications and standards for KAG Connect projects and implementations

• Compliance:

• Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Participate in audits and inspections as required.

• Training and Support:

• Provide training and support to other team members on fibre optic installation and maintenance techniques.
• Stay updated on the latest industry developments and technologies.

• Customer Service:

• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their satisfaction with the quality of work performed.
