Fire Equipment Technician

We are searching for a skilled Fire Equipment Technician to install, maintain, and repair various fire safety and suppression equipment.

The Fire Equipment Technicians responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and promptly carrying out repairs to ensure that all fire safety equipment remains in optimal working condition.

Our ideal candidate is familiar with fire safety codes and standards, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and has a strong attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of fire safety and suppression equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests of equipment to ensure optimal functionality
  • Identify potential equipment issues and carry out necessary repairs
  • Comply with all fire safety codes and standards
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Provide training and guidance on the proper use of fire safety equipment
  • Stay up to date with the latest fire safety technology and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Experienced Registered Fire Equipment Technician must have a minimum of 5 Years or more

Registered with SAQCC as Fire Equipment Technician

  • Proven experience as a Fire Equipment Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of fire safety codes and standards
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for the job
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to work in stressful conditions and respond quickly in emergency situations
  • High school diploma; Certification in fire safety or relevant field is preferred
