Fitter and Turner

KwaZulu Natal, Estcourt (Market related, Negotiable) Eskort, South Africas leading pork manufacturer with a processing plant in Heidelberg Gauteng and Estcourt KZN. We are currently looking for a Fitter and Turner for KZN branch in Estcourt KZN. The position will be reporting to Maintenance Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Trade Tested Fitter and Turner EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years experience as a Fitter and Turner KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Welding and brazing
• Technical knowledge
• Tools and Equipment knowledge

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Monitors machinery and repairs faults
• Analyse faults and determine root cause
• Be able to read drawings
• Assembling metal components
• Maintains and repair machinery
• Good at working with hands
• Machining components accurately
• Following safety protocols

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAS) Fabrication and Assembly

• Constructing, assembling, and fitting components for machinery, vehicles, installations, and other apparatus or articles.
• Operating machinery like lathes, mills, and welding equipment to shape and fabricate metal parts.
• Working from detailed technical specifications and blueprints to determine suitable materials and sequences of operations.
• Working from samples to manufacture replacement parts.

Maintenance Repair

• Performing regular maintenance on machinery, diagnosing and repairing any faults.
• Identifying and addressing issues with machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Installing new plant and equipment

Other tasks

• Welding, cutting, and grinding various materials.
• Ensuring that plant and equipment conforms to legislative requirements.
• May erect machines and equipment on-site.
• Supervising maintenance teams on-site, ensuring jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
• May be required to fill in for shift artisans from time to time
