Internal Communications Coordinator
The Internal Communications Coordinator supports content creation and administration for the companys printed newspaper and digital newsletters. Additionally, the coordinator plans and executes internal activations, such as key company commemorative and celebratory days. Both focus areas support employee engagement and reinforce the Groups strategy, purpose, and values.

- Organise the editorial calendar while drafting article briefs as needed.
- Source and manage photo and video libraries effectively.
- Update online content hub and maintain distribution lists for the newspaper.
- Gather employee feedback and support the publishing process.
- Oversee all aspects of internal communication activations; ensuring activities are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain relationships with external providers for services and supplies, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Support in the development plans to encourage employee involvement and create engaging experiences that resonate with diverse audiences across the business.
- Work closely with other teams to streamline logistics and ensure smooth execution of internal activations.
- Collaborate with different departments and brands to gather information and insights for effective content creation.
- Collect data on the companys printed newspaper and digital newsletters by tracking readership, engagement and employee feedback.
- Track the effectiveness of internal communication activations, measuring participation rates, engagement levels, and employee feedback.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and consolidate and distribute minutes as required.
- Coordinate all facilities requirements for the hosting of activations or events as required.
- Archive communications as needed.
- Ensure all employee-related lists, libraries, and collateral are kept up to date.
Essential Matric Grade 12 Preferred Degree or Diploma in Communications, PR, Journalism or a related field.
ExperienceEssential +2 years experience providing content, administrative, and organisational support in a corporate communications environment, with a strong understanding of delivering effective messages through corporate channels. Preferred Experience in a retail environment
Knowledge and SkillsEssential Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online. Preferred Knowledge of internal communication best practices.
