In indirect tax at PwC, you will focus value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax and other indirect taxes. Overview
A career in our International Trade practice, within the Indirect Tax services team, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. Youll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. Youll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as help them deal with tax authority disputes and queries. Our team helps our local and multinational clients optimise cash flow and reduce risk by managing challenges related to indirect taxes, specifically customs, excise, international trade and environmental tax-related matters. Youll support our clients with all aspects of indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects as well as deal and audit-related projects.

Role Summary:
Specializing in customs, excise, global trade and environmental tax, the successful candidate will in conjunction with the rest of the team assist clients with complicated issues in these areas which become crucial when a business is involved in the local manufacture, import and export of goods as well as other domestic activities.
Qualifications / Certifications required:
- A degree in any one of these areas: Taxation / International Trade / Law / Accounting / Finance
Experience required:
- No formal previous work experience
- Keen interest in International Trade / customs and excise / carbon tax
Responsibilities of role:
- Liaising with clients and colleagues to provide advice on customs, excise, international trade and environmental tax.
- Managing a range of assignments reporting to Managers/ Partners.
- Act as operational Client contact on a portfolio of clients.
- Expand professional network internally and externally.
- Management of billings, debtors and assignment budgeting.
- Compliance with risk management procedures.
- Report writing
