Junior Application Specialist

Primary Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Junior Application Specialist to join our Applications team. In this role, you will assist in the implementation, support, and maintenance of business applications to ensure smooth operations. You will work closely with end-users and Application team members to optimize application performance and contribute to system enhancements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of business applications.
  • Provide first-line support for application-related issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot software problems and work with internal teams or external vendors to resolve them.
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Train end users on application functionalities and best practices.
  • Document processes, system changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in testing new features, updates, or integrations before deployment.
  • Ensure applications comply with security and compliance standards.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • Prior experience in IT support or application management (internships included) is a plus.

Competencies: Knowledge and Skills

Job Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of the Power Platform and SharePoint Online (Administration) is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise applications, databases, or software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with SQL, scripting, or programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
