Key Responsibilities TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE 1.1 Timeous and accurate preparation of markers ensuring best possible rating 1.2 Adhere to standard best practice for fabric quality Laying-Up standards i.e. Lay lengths and Fabric Supplies 1.3 Checking fabric widths for each style prior to preparing marker and preparing marker accordingly - check border prints, all over prints and stripes 1.4 Create a Layplan for required units 1.5 Make markers and check to ensure all pattern pieces are included 1.6 When requested prepare initial brief ratings on all sizes for costing purposes 1.7 Assist in creating Production Print Markers 1.8 Assist in creating Production Position Markers SYSTEMS & PROCESSES 2.1 Challenges the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and proposes modifications 2.2 Demonstrates an understanding of the computer system Lectra 2.3 Wait for the MMR (Marker Makers Request) from the Production Fabric Co-ordinator before creating a Layplan for the required units to be cut on the required Excel document 2.4 High wastage in the marker must be communicated immediately to the Production Fabric Co-ordinator to check fabric meters available 2.5 Re-do marker requests from CMTs takes 1st priority 2.6 Ensure any marker delays are communicated to the relevant people 2.7 Email Layplans to all concerned recipients 2.8 Responsible for queries and requests on email 2.9 Effectively and efficiently resolve any marker issues at CMT level Qualifications and Experience Gerber or Lectra Marker Making Excel, Word/MS Office 3 - 5 years in a Production Lay Plan and Marker Maker position Competencies • Good communication skills • Team orientation • Attention to detail • Team player
