Marketing and Public Relations Officer

We are looking for a Marketing and PR Officer who can thrive in a high-energy environment .

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in the corporate . To drive and implement the business reputation with all stakeholders and ensuring a positive image of the business while ensuring effective media coverage.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Communication
• Post-graduation experience of 4-6 years in Public Relations or External Communications
• Have a professional command of the English language
• Proven experience in marketing and public relations or related fields.
• Good understanding of communication functions and relevant best practices
• A good understanding of new developments in writing•
• Creative thinking with an eye for design and detail.•
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills•
• Proven experience in developing marketing plans and campaigns• Proactive , solution-oriented , independent and team centric
• Strong strategic communication
• Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects.

Structured and measurable outputs

• Take ownership, manage, and drive public relations exposure relating to the brand and products•
• Contribute to the development of public relations strategies•
• Develop public relations plan and calendar that will align to the business monthly activities to effectively plan and manage public relations initiatives and campaigns•
• Liaise with stakeholders to obtain public relations campaign and initiatives requirements•
• Draft standard responses to a variety of media queries and develop standard media statements and briefs.
• •Be the lead contact person for the marketing team on all public relations matters and work with relevant service providers and management to effectively respond to media queries relating to the business.
• Support with the preparation of speeches, publicity material and supporting collateral (presentations, interviews, events) for the business spokes people when they are required to address external stakeholders and / or represent the business in interviews•
• To contribute to the development of media crisis strategies and oversee the crisis management processes when necessary
• Creative thinking and developing Marketing and Public Relations ideas for keep up the reputation of the business
• Assist to implement ways in which the company and business information and brand is disseminated to the public
• Assist in handling media requests, shareholder and stakeholder inquiries
• Prepare reports, presentations, as and when required
• Work closely with Marketing Manager to align the objectives of the business
• Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, and offline strategies.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: R20 000,00 - R22 500,00 per month
