Role Purpose: Management of payment flows, allocating inward payments to the correct destinations where these cannot be systematically determined, and performing accounting associated therewith. Are you someone who has experience in:
  • Allocation of incoming payments to customer and suspense accounts.
  • Return of funds to remitting banks where these cannot be applied.
  • Support of and interaction with the Treasury Liquidity Management function.
  • Timeous processing of CPL (Continuous Processing Line) funding and withdrawal instructions.
  • Timeous processing of CLS (Continuous Linked Settlement) pay-ins.
  • Financial Data Entry involving the capture of entries to the General Ledger and customer accounts. This includes passing correcting entries to bring unreconciled suspense accounts into balance.
  • Monitoring of FATF16 requirements and reporting
  • Balancing of Hogan branch controlled by Settlement & SWIFT and clearing of outstanding OTP transactions.
  • Reconciliation of accounts (Intellimatch) and reporting
  • Knowledge of SWIFT ISO 20022 payment message formats.
  • Knowledge of accounting and “use of funds” compensation
  • Compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ability to prioritise activities to ensure personal and team efficiency
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Attention to detail
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Matric - Grade 12
  • Diploma or relevant qualification
