In this role, youll provide server expertise, advice, and support to enhance service delivery. Youll drive business profitability through IT solutions, perform system monitoring and health checks, manage OS patching and vulnerability remediation, and handle server builds and configurations. Additionally, youll manage security groups, active directory, backups, and generate reports. Youll deliver exceptional service, maintain compliance with governance standards, cultivate stakeholder relationships, and ensure the continuous availability of all environments while focusing on personal development. • Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through Information technology solutions
• Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness.
• Monitoring (system alerts remediation and escalations)
• Morning health checks (environment health checks VMware, Base OS, storage, ESXi hosts)
• OS Patch management (monthly OS and Microsoft patching) ensuring patches are installed and server is restarted. Liaise with DEV teams testers
• Microsoft vulnerability remediation (zero day, pentest and other exploitable vulnerability remediations)
• Server build, configuration and resource management
• Security groups assignments (servers, folders, FTP, MFT)
• Active directory management (create, assign and manage security groups)
• Standby duties for after hour support and escalations
• Backup experience (Veeam and tape management)
• Reporting (Vcenter, AD, server and OS inventory)
• Ensure Hardware and Software asset management of deployed environments are controlled to ensure investment turn
• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions by resolving queries fast end effective
• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements
• Install, configure, maintain and monitoring an environment consisting of Windows and Linux servers connected to a SAN environment by ensuring both physical and virtual servers on both platforms are controlled and manage server operating systems and application software and hardware upgrades
• Comply, understand and implement all steps within IT Operations and meet governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements by applying and maintaining the security policies according to FRB Audit standards
• Perform UAT setup, testing, technical and maintenance tasks and ensure that all system alerts are rectified and escalated accordingly through providing all technical support for business servers and applications
• Manage and maintain customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) to install, maintain and support with Server requirements
• Ensure the adherence to architectural standards and compliance and conformance to internal change management procedures and policies
• Provision of an efficient administration service through careful and timeous planning, reporting and updating of all related information
• Manage own development to increase own competencies
• Ensure the continuous availability of all DR/Training/Prod/ UAT/ Dev environments

You Will Be an Ideal Candidate If You Have

• Diploma in Information Technology
• 4- 6 years experience
• Financial Service or Banking industry would be advantageous
