Siemens PLC Programmer

We are looking for a skilled Siemens PLC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting Profibus networks to Profinet and modifying and interpreting Siemens programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IEC 61131-3 programming languages and be proficient in Siemens software.

The position is based in Randburg, Johannesburg, with some travel required to customer sites in various regions.

Main responsibilities:

• Convert Profibus networks to Profinet.
• Required to change device GSD files to GSDML. (example: Drives, IO, 3rd party equipment)
• Modify and interpret Siemens programs.

Programming languages:

Information on IEC 61131-3 languages like Ladder Logic (LAD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Statement List (STL).

Siemens software specifications: Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC (HMI/SCADA) and Step 7.

General technical knowledge: Drives and Motion Control - Siemens SINAMICS Startdrive will be beneficial.

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license.
• Willingness to travel.
• 3-5 years experience
