Staging Controller

BTT is currently recruiting for Four (4) Staging Controllers to join the Richards Bay Logistics Team.

Main Purpose of the Job:

To coordinate the staging and movement of road vehicles entering the TNPA Vehicle staging area for access to the terminal

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric with Mathematics
• 3 years experience in Security and/or vehicle/gate control
• 3 years of administrative experience
• Plant operational and Logistics experience advantageous
• Basic computer skills
• Drivers Licence

Job Specification:

• Liaise with TNPA personnel to coordinate the staging of all vehicles at the TNPA staging area
• Ensure all vehicle documentation is correct, valid and verified
• Control vehicle access to site according to documentation and orders for loading and offloading
• Liaise with Logistics and Operations personnel regarding released and unreleased vehicles at the staging area
• Document vehicle arrivals and record all details on the VSR monitor system
• Capture vehicle details on the system
• Keep accurate records of driver and vehicle details
• Compile and submit handover reports
• Report all deviations, delays and incidents
• Check and verify order and transporter details in line with existing orders
• Maintain updated records
• Submit applications for TNPA E-Permits access

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

• Report writing skills
• Ability to fluently communicate in English.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work shifts, standby and overtime
• Security background will be beneficial
