Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring parts and materials are available when needed. Organize, label, and store mechanical parts, tools, and equipment in a tidy and easily accessible manner. Conduct regular stock checks and update inventory records. Receiving and Issuing Stock: Receive deliveries of parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring items are in good condition and match the order. Issue parts and materials to the team according to project requirements. Assist Mechanics: Provide support to team by assisting with the setup and installation of equipment or tools. Help with routine maintenance or repairs, including assisting with troubleshooting and identifying mechanical issues. Assist in the repair and maintenance of machines or equipment Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that safety procedures and standards are followed when handling and storing mechanical parts and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in both the store and workshop areas. Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition of equipment in the store and ensure that tools and machines are maintained and serviced. Carry out minor repairs or maintenance on mechanical tools and equipment. Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operation and effective communication. Be proactive in anticipating parts or tools needed and assist in planning to prevent shortages. Key Qualifications: Previous experience in a storeman or inventory management role, preferably in a mechanical or engineering environment. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of tools, parts, and machinery. Ability to assist mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members. Forklift license (preferred but not essential). Ability to lift and move heavy items as required. Desirable Skills: Experience with using inventory management software. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in mechanical environments. Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals. Working Conditions: Full-time position with a possibility of overtime. Will be required to work in a workshop or store environment. Some manual labor and lifting required. Between 3 - 5 Years
