Student Accommodation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:Oversee day-to-day operations, including room allocation, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, and addressing student queries.
  • Budget and Finances:Control and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and manage stock levels and supplies.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:Arrange repairs and maintenance of the facilities, ensuring they meet hygiene and safety standards.
  • Safety and Security:Ensure adequate security measures are in place and that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Resident Relations:Build positive relationships with residents, addressing their concerns, and fostering a positive living environment.
  • Staff Supervision:Supervise cleaning staff and other relevant staff to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Policy Implementation:Implement and manage student accommodation policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Management:Manage relationships with students, university departments, and external agencies.
  • Reporting and Communication:Keep management informed of issues and activities, and communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders.
  • Project Management:Participate in projects related to student accommodation strategy and improvements.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:A relevant degree or diploma in property management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience:Previous experience in property management, accommodation management, or a related field is highly valued.
  • Skills:Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Other:Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies, computer literacy, and the ability to manage budgets and staff are also important.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R13 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
