Job Advert Summary

Control of work in and out of the workshop. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Matric Certificate/Grade 12.

Must be a qualified tradesman (Earth Moving Mechanic).

Minimum 5 years working experience as a Mechanic in the earthmoving industry.

Minimum 2 -3 years Supervisory working experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure the safety culture of the organisation is entrenched

Assist the Safety Officer with upkeep of safety and toolbox talks

Ensure that company procedures and policies are adhere to

Able to deal professionally with employees and customers

Ensure that budgeted profits is met

Drive customer satisfaction

Attend to Customers meetings

Ensure that apprentices receive mentoring and training

Allocate all work and control labour efficiencies

Rework measured to understand team output quality and training needs

Coordinate/control output of your team

Control and billing of all jobs

Accountable for both internal and external WIP

Carry out regular artisan evaluation and apply needs accordingly

Build Artisans technical ability through on job training.

Assistance with standby as and when needed

Manage the teams vehicles

Additional responsibilities to Role specific Team leaders

Control the special tool store

Control of consumables

Control the whole warranty process from start to finish.

Campaign updates on machines in the workshop or field

Manage parts discarding and maintain housekeeping in warranty storage.

Coordinate arrival inspections, stored maintenance is conducted on stock machines

Maintain inventory and stock control on new and used machines.

Oversee quality control on PDI -new machines

Manage contractors on site.

Delegating SLA tasks for services Internal and External customers.

Working closely with warehouse team and SLA administrators.
