Trainee Buyer

Standerton, Lekwa, ZA, Standerton INTERNAL/ EXTERNAL Position : Trainee Buyer Reporting To : Senior Procurement Reporting Level : Junior PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To develop and train individuals in procurement and purchasing processes. KEY OUTPUTS OF POSITION Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and source suppliers of materials, equipment, and services required for different departments and stakeholders within the company. Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Purchase Orders: Prepare and issue purchase orders based on purchase requests specifications, and budget constraints. Price Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and discounts with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance. Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and applicable regulations in all procurement activities. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and correspondence with suppliers. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Grade 12 Degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering and relevant course work in procurement or business administration.
