Virtual Veterinarian

Calling All Animal Lovers! Snoots Veterinary Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic Licensed Veterinarian to grow our trailblazing virtual care services. As our Virtual Veterinarian, you will provide patients and pet parents compassionate long-distance consultation and medical advice through video chat, messaging, and phone.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct triage assessments to determine necessity of in-person services vs virtual diagnosis/treatment
• Perform wellness checks, routine care, and monitor chronic conditions via remote appointments
• Prescribe medications, make referrals, and develop treatment plans tailored for each animals needs
• Educate and coach pet owners on proper self-care techniques like wound cleaning, medication administration etc
• Input clear case notes into our clinic management system and coordinate follow-ups
• Help expand Snoots suite of virtual veterinary offerings over time

Requirements:

• Active license to practice veterinary medicine with RCVS membership
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience successfully diagnosing and developing treatment plans for domestic animals/pets
• Broad knowledge of common illnesses and complaints in cats, dogs, small mammals along with standard care protocols
• Ability to prescribe medications safely based on animal symptoms and medical history details provided verbally/visually by clients
• Comfort using verbal visual cues to assess symptoms and function remotely
• Exceptional video presence and communication skills
• Passion for quality veterinary care, client relationships, and patient advocacy
• A dedication to timely, compassionate responses to client concerns
• Comfort building rapport and earning trust in a remote setting
