We are looking for a Senior Social-First Account Manager

Ogilvy Social.Lab is looking for an Senior Account Manager, with a strong digital background, specialising in a social-first approach, to manage organic social deliverables, as well as developing and nurturing the relationship with our Verizon International client.

This role involves meticulous planning and follow-up. Crucial to this position is a comprehensive understanding and deep appreciation of social media dynamics, including an in-depth knowledge of the main features, advantages, and limitations across major social platforms. The role requires close collaboration with our strategy, creative and production team to deliver best in class content.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive organic social media strategies tailored to their objectives, target audience, and budget.
  • Act as the clients trusted advisor by providing strategic guidance with insight into social media, particularly B2B, best practice and performance, providing opinions about the brief and the work and being keen to contribute.
  • Manage the curation and development of content, with a specific B2B focus on LinkedIn.
  • Ensure that the creative team/traffic manager/production manager/client are aligned throughout a project, to meet deadlines and coordinate workflow
  • Lead clients projects and remain responsible for their daily management, while building strong relationships and fostering good team spirit with both clients and members of the agency to bring great ideas and creative work to life.
  • Coordinate digital projects, specialising in organic social media, from briefing to delivery, including budget follow-up and planning.
  • Ensure content is performing and effective on an on-going basis, leaning into the research and data team.
  • Achieve and sustain client satisfaction by balancing client and agency needs.
  • Maintain responsibility for any difficulties and finding solutions during the project while keeping your line manager (Project Director/Business Unit Director) informed throughout.
  • Manage/coach junior Accounts where necessary.
  • Manage the agencys billing system and be responsible for invoicing, and issuing POs, etc. with a clear understanding of the financial forecast/overview of your clients.
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of all agency systems: plan briefings, reviews, follow planning procedures, etc.
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring work is produced efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years specialising in social media account management, preferable extending to 8 years in a client service environment. Experience of B2B organic social media, and knowledge of LinkedIn, is also an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms, main features, their respective algorithms, and best practices for content creation and optimization.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies effectively.
  • Skillful project management .
