Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Polokwane. The successful candidate must have a trade test certification and a Safe Handling of Refrigerants certificate. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial and residential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, ventilation units, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental regulations, including proper refrigerant handling.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE Trade Test Certification in HVAC/Refrigeration.
  • MUST HAVE Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (Category A or B).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work after hours and respond to emergency call-outs when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Experience with VRV/VRF systems and commercial HVAC installations.
