Occupational Health and Safety Administrator

As part of our ongoing commitment to workplace safety, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Occupational Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. The successful incumbent will be based at our bakery plant in Verulam.

Job Description:

As an Occupational Health and Safety Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed within our retail environment. You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety policies, procedures, and systems to create a safe, compliant, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in conducting regular health and safety audits and risk assessments.

· Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures within the store.

· Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and food safety standards.

· Assist in the identification and management of potential hazards in the retail store.

· Monitor and report on workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.

· Provide health and safety training to staff members as required.

· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incidents.

· Collaborate with management and team members to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

National Certificate: Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment at NQF Level 2 (Essential).

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices within a retail environment.

Grade 12 (Matric)

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including staff and management.

Previous experience in a retail or similar environment (preferred, but not essential).

A proactive approach to health and safety and a genuine interest in creating a safe workplace.
