Playschool Greek Teacher

Applications are invited for an energetic, creative and innovative full-time Playschool teacher, who meets the below listed requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

• Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and most importantly with young children
• Is motivated and uses initiative
• Have a good command of the Greek and English languages
• Strong computer skills, both for administrative purposes and ICT in the classroom
• Must have a warm and nurturing personality

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Appropriate degree and/or professional teaching qualification
• A certificate of proficiency in the Greek language (Ellinomatheia) will be an advantage
• Experience teaching Greek in an ECD setting
• Experience working with children aged 14 months - 3 years
• Valid SACE certification and police clearance

• Responsible for creating a language-rich environment to immerse children in Greek, fostering language acquisition and supporting their holistic development in a Playschool setting
• Planning and preparation in alignment with the schools curriculum
• Comprehensive and continuous assessment and observation of each childs development
• Daily professional interaction with parents
• Close teamwork and collegiality within the Playschool
