• Ensure efficient shift handovers
• Establish process start up conditions
• Ensure the effective commissioning of section or equipment to a specific state
• Ensure Effective communication of process condition
• Ensure Effective response to abnormal process conditions
• Ensure effective shut down of process operations
• Ensure effective administration
• Ensure that all safety standards are maintained
• Staff Management

• Grade 12/N3
• Minimum 1-2years supervisory experience in a chemical plant or 3-5 years as senior plant operator.
• Minimum qualification, NQF 3 or Chemical Eng. Diploma.
• Basic understanding of process plant and the importance of maintenance.
• Must be able to obtain health clearance to work in a chemical environment
• Operational knowledge of the relevant legislation.
