Dispensing optician at Kaleidovision

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Dispensing Optician to join our team in a unique hybrid role. This is more than a traditional dispensing position; you'll also play a key role in our vision therapy program, helping adults and children improve their vision and quality of life.

This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are ready to advance their career and make a meaningful impact in our patients' lives. The practice is located in Claremont, Cape Town.

• Serve as a Dispensing Optician, providing expert advice and service to our patients.
• Work as a Vision Therapist, guiding children through exercises and therapies to enhance their visual skills.
• Act as a welcoming frontline team member, managing patient interactions with warmth and professionalism, alongside our experienced team of professionals.

We are seeking a candidate who is committed to learning and has a natural affinity with people, particularly children.

• A natural rapport with children is essential and non-negotiable for this role.
• A strong eagerness to learn and an ability to adapt to new methods and skills, including full training to become a Vision Therapist.
• Life experience and stability are highly valued, with a preference for mature candidates (ideally over 28) who may have their own parenting experience.
• Good experience with Eminence is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English are a must.
• Candidates should be in good physical health and non-smokers.

• Salary: R14,500 - R18,500 (gross), based on experience.
• Working Hours:
• Monday - Friday: 08:30 - 17:30
• Saturdays: 08:15 - 13:00 (one Saturday off per month)
• A half-day off will be provided during the week for Saturdays worked.
• No Sundays, no public holidays and closing over the latter part of December to early January.
